Oh to be in Austin, Texas right this minute.South by Southwest 2009 begins today and runs until the 22nd March, meaning that the creative college town is overrun with musicians from every country, playing their instruments on their streets and in their many bars. Featuring over 1800 acts, it's all about wandering around and listening to the music some known, most unknown.
With the reported surge of crowds occupying the fine city, it seems the festival is going from strength to strength and thumbs its rock n' roll finger at the recession.
